Dunamase College/Coláiste Dhún Másc has celebrated 14 students who successfully completed their bronze and silver Gaisce award.
Gaisce Awards are non-competitive and self-directed, so the participants choose their own activities, goals and projects with the support of their President’s Award Leader (or PAL).
Mary Yore, our Gaisce regional development officer presented the students with their certificates, badges, and medals. Mary explained to the group that Gaisce is not an award you win but an award you earn.
The incoming Transition Year students were in attendance on Thursday, February 23, to honour these 14 students. Students will now move on to their next Gaisce award in the coming months.
Gaisce co-ordinator Aisling McAuley and PALs Genevieve, Darragh and Deirdre were thanked for the support, guidance and encouragement given to the 14 students on their successful journey.
"Congratulations to all the recipients, we are very proud of you," said the school.
