Daffodil Day flowers and volunteers needed for Laois town

Father Ted star and launch host, Pauline McLynn, Laois volunteers Mary Donoher and Claire Hartnett and Irish Cancer Society CEO Averil Power.

A Laois town is asking for flowers and helpers this Daffodil Day.

This year's Daffodil Day will take place nationwide on Friday March 24.

Volunteers are needed in Mountmellick and any donations of fresh daffodils for sale would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone available to help on the day or who can donate fresh daffodils please contact Bridie on 086-2065720 or Mary on 08786-24758. All support is greatly appreciated.

Daffodil Day is the main annual fundraiser of the Irish Cancer Society. The funds raised on the day go directly to the society for use in cancer research and the care and assistance of those living with cancer.
