In pictures: Seniors celebrate in south Laois

The annual Senior Citizens Party, organized by Borris in Ossory Social Services, took place in Killasmeestia Community Centre on Sunday February 26

Social Services Chairperson Marian Carey welcomed all the guests to the party, including Rev. Fr. Jackie Robinson PP. Catering was in the capable hands of Bernie Teehan and her staff from Creative Catering and the musical entertainment was supplied by Billy Dollard. The guests were treated to some lovely singing and traditional music by members of the Scott family. At the end of the evening Marian thanked Bernie and staff for the beautiful meal. She thanked all the local shops and many individuals who sponsored prizes for the raffle, she also paid tribute to Billy Dollard and also the Scott family, to the committee of Killasmeestia Community Centre for the use of the facilities and to all the Social Services committee members who worked hard to make the day so successful.
