Action is needed to slow cars at a side road off the main road into Ballacolla, a Laois councillor insists.
Cllr Ollie Clooney, called on Laois County Council to install safety measures in place at St. Fergal’s Park, Ballacolla.
“It’s a busy road. Cars are passing fairly fast,” he said.
Edmond Kenny, District Engineer, replied in writing.
“Laois County Council engineers will arrange to meet the Elected Member at the site to examine the safety concerns,” he said..
The issue was raised at the recent Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District meeting in County Hall, Portlaoise.
