Laois school set to turn key on first-ever tractor and truck run

The big and small wheels of old and new tractors and trucks will turn in Timahoe in May as the local school holds its first ever fundraising truck and tractor run.

A Day for all the Family is what's promised by the Scoil Mhuire Fatima in the Laios village on Saturday, May 13.

"A truck run, modern tractor run and vintage tractor run leaving our beautiful heritage village on routes to surrounding towns and villages.

"Returning back to Timahoe for refreshments to local community hall with a raffle and cabaret in Jim Ramsbottom's Bar & Lounge that evening.

Light amusement and face painting for children is promised on village green.

Participants are asked to register at 3pm with the run commencing at 5 pm sharp.
