Portlaoise Panthers chairman Shay Dooley has been awarded the Presidents' Lifetime Achievement Award from Basketball Ireland.
The Portlaoise Panthers Basketball Club took to Facebook to congratulate Dooley on his award. They said, " This is absolutely deserved and is an incredible honour for Shay and a brilliant recognition of his services to basketball in Portlaoise and the wider communities. The list of things Shay Dooley has done for basketball in this town is just too long to even begin to mention."
Dooley will be presented with his award on May 6 along with the other winners while Basketball Ireland will also name their inductees into the Hall of Fame.
