Laois have bowed out of this year's Leinster Football Championship after Dublin recorded a routine win over Billy Sheehan's men in Laois Hire O'Moore Park.
Four first-half goals for Dublin had put the game to bed before half-time.There was a large crowd in attendance as the stand was packed to the rafters with the Dublin fans making the terrace on the town end their own Hill 16.

Leinster Football Championship Quarter-Final
Laois opened proceedings as Paul Kingston kicked a point with two minutes on the clock. Laois would have to wait a further 10 minutes to register another with Dublin getting 2-4 in a 10-minute period. Paul Mannion and Con O'Callaghan both getting a score each for Dublin while O'Callaghan would rattle the Laois net after four minutes. Dublin would make it two green flags in the eighth minute as Colm Basquel drilled the ball beyond Scott Osbourne.
Brian Fenton and Mannion kicked a score apiece as Dublin were comfortable on the O'Moore Park surface. To Laois' credit, they would kick the next three scores as Mark Barry and a super score from Mark Timmons. Dublin could have received a black card as Evan O'Carroll bore down on goals, he was fouled with Kingston kicking over the resulting free. This would be Laois' last score of the half.
The Dubs kicked over five points as O'Callaghan kicked a mark and a free while Basquel also scored two from play. Kilkenny pointed off his left boot from a free. They would soon get their third goal as Basquel teed up Lee Gannon to blast the ball into the Laois net. A further four points would follow before Dublin got a fourth goal. Kilkenny, Fenton, O'Callaghan and Sean Bulger all raising white flags. The fourth Dublin goal was well-worked as Bulger found O'Callaghan, who in turn set up Kilkenny to tuck the ball into the bottom corner.
Laois did have a goal chance before half-time as Mark Barry fired wide when in a promising position. Basquel and Ross McGarry pointed two further scores as Dublin led by a large margin at the break.
Dublin would kick the first score of the second-half as Fenton teed up O'Callaghan to split the posts before Laois got their first score in 22 minutes. Kingston kicked a mark before they would score another mark, Paddy O'Sullivan kicking the ball into Eoin Lowry to point a mark.
Basquel kicked another point for Dublin before Laois fired in two goals without reply. Evan O'Carroll palming the ball down to Lowry to bury the ball into the Dublin net. The second Laois goal came as a result of a Dublin defensive mistake as Kingston tapped the ball to Lowry to get his second goal in as many minutes. Dublin would reply with five points unanswered as O'Callaghan and Kilkenny pointed two points each while Cian Murphy kicked his first point of the game.
Fenton would kick his three point of the contest while Kilkenny pointed to take his individual tally to 1-5. Dublin brought on Dean Rock and the Dublin man kicked a score within 30 seconds of coming on. O'Carroll and Rock would trade scores as the game began to fizzle out. Padraig Kirwan would get a score for Sheehan's men after a great run up-field.
Dublin kicked four more points as Rock, McGarry, Basquel and Brian Howard all raised white flags. Laois got the final score of the game as O'Carroll kicked a free to end the game.
Laois now have a three-week break before competing in the Tailteann Cup. Dublin will now play Kildare in the Leinster semi-finals.
