Bins requested for Vicarstown in Laois

With summer approaching bins will be needed in Vicarstown due to its popularity with walkers, a meeting was told. 

Cllr Paschal McEvoy raised the issue at the latest meeting of Portarlington Graiguecullen Municipal District. 

“Vicarstown is now part of the blueway and there is going to be an awful lot of people in Vicarstown over the next four to six months, the summer period, and there is no bin collection,” explained Cllr McEvoy. 

“It needs to be done because there is an awful lot of people coming there over the summer period,” he said. 

He asked that the council provide bins and collect rubbish in the area.
