Laois Hire O'Moore Park is the venue on Sunday as Donie Brennan and his Laois Ladies team will take on Meath in the final group game of the Leinster Senior Championship. The game is practically a semi-final as a win for either side will secure a Leinster final place against Dublin in two weeks' time.
Both sides enjoyed All-Ireland success in July 2022 as Laois were crowned Intermediate champions on the same day that Meath defeated Kerry to lift their second successive Senior All-Ireland.
They both come into the game off the back of defeats to Dublin, who are chasing their 10th successive Leinster LGFA crown. However, Meath will come into the game with more confidence as they only lost out to Dublin by two points in Pairc Tailteann in Round 1 while last weekend Laois only mustered up three points against Dublin as they steam-rolled to another Leinster final.
Laois weren't without their chances against Dublin though as they had several goal chances with the combination of Abby Shiels and the Dublin woodwork denying Erone Fitzpatrick on two occasions while Shiels thwarted Ellen Healy in the first-half. It could have been a totally different game had the goals gone in for Laois as Dublin made them pay down the other end.
Donie Brennan will be hoping for a much better all-round performance as they go to battle with The Royals in Laois Hire O'Moore Park at 2pm on Sunday May 14. Tickets can be bought here while the game can also be streamed here.
