Met Éireann has warned of possible difficult travelling conditions and possible spot flooding in Laois.
They have issued a Status Yellow thunderstorm warning for Laois and the rest of Leinster together with Waterford, Tipperary, Leitrim, Cavan and Monaghan.
Met Éireann said heavy showers with thunderstorms are likely and could cause spot flooding, poor visibility and difficult driving conditions.
The warning is in place from 8am this morning and will remain in effect until 9pm tonight, Monday, July 10.
