Portlaoise Panthers Basketball Club are preparing what they hope will be their biggest most successful seasons to date. Panthers are coming off the back of a hugely successful 22/23 season which saw them win multiple local titles at both underage and senior level.
Their biggest achievement however came on the national stage where the women's team secured promotion to the Super League. For the first time in a number of years and for only for the second time in the clubs history, Super League basketball will return to St Mary's hall.
The men's National League team is under new management this season with Jack Scully at the helm and will hope to follow the women's lead and push for promotion themselves following a very strong finish to last season. There is some exceptional talent coming through the club right now and Jack has been tasked with transitioning this talent into a successful men's team in the coming years.
