'Very happy' with Laois council's flood work

Work has been completed at a house in Paddock to address a flood problem according to Laois County Council.

Cllr James Kelly, Independent, asked the council to alleviate the flooding and road safety issues on the road outside Paul Kirwan’s residence.

In reply at a recent meeting, Edmond Kenny, District Engineer, said the work had been completed.

Cllr Kelly said Mr Kirwan is very happy that the work has been done.

The issue was raised at the recent Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Mountmellick Municipal District meeting.
