Following what was a wonderful year for St Mary’s CBS, Portlaoise rugby teams, a decision was made by Portlaoise RFC to sponsor two Rugby Scholarships to the value of €500 each for two incoming first years for September 2023.
The scholarship consists of €250 voucher for Shaws, Portlaoise towards the cost of the student’s uniform plus a €250 voucher for All Books, Portlaoise towards the cost of books and stationary.
Last week the first of those scholarships was presented to Jack Downey in Togher.
