Laois' Grace Foxe took to the Annaverna Mountain in the Cooley Peninsula on Bank Holiday Monday as she went in search of being crowned All-Ireland Poc Fade champion in the U-16 grade.
Grace, who plays camogie for Abbeyleix as well as being a footballer for Ballyroan, qualified for the finals due to her being crowned Leinster champion on Mount Leinster. In terms of the All-Ireland final, she came second with a score of 29 30m with the winner taking the crown with a score of 29 40m.
Both the clubs that she plays for took to Facebook to congratulate her on her achievements.
Abbeyleix GAA said this, "Congratulations to Grace Foxe who came second in the All Ireland GAA Poc Fada competition which was held in the Cooley Mountains earlier today. Grace represented Laois & also Leinster at the U/16 All Ireland Poc Fada Final and this is a fantastic achievement for Grace, her family & club."
While Ballyroan Ladies Football Club posted this on their page. "Congratulations to our own Grace Foxe who came second in the All Ireland Puc Fada Competition. What a proud day for Grace and her family! Everyone in Ballyroan Ladies is super proud of Grace on this fantastic achievement."
