Portlaoise RFC President, Harry Nicholls presents Dylan Clear with his €500 scholarship with Maura Murphy, Principal St Mary's CBS, Portlaoise.
The second of the Portlaoise RFC sponsored scholarships for a student attending St Mary’s CBS, Portlaoise was presented to Dylan Clear this week.
Last season, St Mary’s CBS made huge inroads on the rugby front culminating with the winning of the Leinster Rugby Development School of the Year award. Following this, Portlaoise RFC made the decision to sponsor two Rugby Scholarships to the value of €500 each for two incoming first years for September 2023.
The scholarship consists of €250 voucher for Shaws, Portlaoise towards the cost of the student’s uniform plus a €250 voucher for All Books, Portlaoise towards the cost of books and stationary.The other scholarship winner was Jack Downey.
