The death took place on Monday, September 4 of Imelda Doyle (née Carey) of Coolrain, Ballickmoyler and formerly Pollerton Big, Carlow.
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at The District Hospital, Carlow. Beloved wife of Pat, much loved mother of Lisa, Jimmy, Ellen, Patrick and Lorraine and cherished sister of Betty, Oliver, Billy, Teresa, Anne, Ellen, Kathleen, Mary Clare, Brigid, Madeleine, Frances, Peter, John, Mark and Edel. She will be missed by her loving husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Paul, Neil and Paul, daughters-in-law Elaine and Sue, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Carpenter Brothers Funeral Home, Barrack St., on Tuesday, September 5th, from 3pm, concluding with Prayers at 8.30pm. Removal on Wednesday at 10.30am to St Mary’s Church, Bennekerry, Carlow, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in St Mary's Cemetery, Carlow.

Claire Delaney - Portlaoise
The death took place on Sunday, September 3 of Claire Delaney (née Smith) of Bishopsland, New Ross, and formerly of Southknock, New Ross, and Marian Avenue, Portlaoise.
Peacefully in Wexford General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her parents Peg and Tom Smith, her brother Malcolm and John Delaney. Sadly missed by her loving sons and daughters Jackie, Niall, Gina, Paul and Christina, grandchildren Christopher, Megan, Ethan and Liam, brothers and sisters Peter, Ann, George, Declan, David, Caroline, Niall and Edel, son-in-law Michael, brothers and sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, on Tuesday from 4pm concluding at 7pm and Reposing at Keegan's Funeral Home, Portlaoise, on Wednesday, September 6th, from 5.30pm concluding at 7pm for extended family and close friends.
Removal on Thursday, September 7th, to arrive at SS Peter and Paul's Church, Portlaoise for requiem Mass at 12noon, followed by burial afterwards in SS Peter and Paul's Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Joan Gorman - Rosenallis
The death took place on Sunday, September 3 of Joan Gorman (née Edmonds) of Drummond, Rosenallis, and late of Crettyard.
Daughter of the late James and Mary Edmonds (Crettyard). Joan passed away surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Tom, sister Breda Kavanagh (Abbeyleix), son in law Bernard Dunne (Garrymore).
Joan will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her loving family Fintan, James, George, Rosemary, Elizabeth, Thomas and their spouses and partners Sinéad, Michelle, Emma, and Gerry, her 10 grandchildren Christopher, Kelly, Rachel, Ryan, James, April, Roisin, Martin, Jennifer, and Olivia. Her sister Kathleen O’ Neill (Stradbally), brother Willie Edmonds (Wexford), brothers, and sisters in laws, nieces, nephews, neighbours, and many friends.
Reposing in Moloney's Funeral Home on Monday from 7pm with recital of the Rosary at 8.30pm. Removal from the home of her daughter Rose in Garrymore to St Brigid's Church (via her home in Drummond on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Burial after in St Brigid's Cemetery.
William Ring - Abbeyleix
The death took place on Saturday, September 2 of William (Billy) Ring of Celbridge, Kildare and formerly of Norris’s Pub and Abbeyleix.
Peacefully, after a short illness, at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Sadly missed by the Norris and Ring families and his loving nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing on Wednesday from 4pm to 7pm at the Ramon Massey & Son Funeral Home, Thornhill, Maynooth Road, Celbridge W23 D1K5, (beside McMahon’s Pub). Removal on Thursday to St. Partick’s Church, Celbridge arriving for 10am Mass. Funeral immediately afterwards to Abbeyleix Cemetery adjoining the Church of the Most Holy Rosary arriving at approximately 12.30pm.

Br. Daniel Patrick - Carlin - Castletown
The death took place on Thursday, August 31 of Br. Daniel Patrick Carlin of De La Salle Brothers, and Saint Joseph School, Addis Ababa.
Suddenly. Predeceased by his parents Freddie and Mary. Deeply regretted by his brother Laurence, niece Siobhan, and cousins in Derry, London and Longford, parents, teachers and pupils St. Joseph School and especially by his confreres in Ethiopia, District of Lwanga Africa and the District of Ireland, Great Britain and Malta.
Funeral Mass on Wednesday September 6th at 2pm in the De La Salle Pastoral Centre, Castletown, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery. EirCode R32 NX40.
Patrick Hyland - Ballybrittas
The death took place on Wednesday, August 30 of Patrick (Darby) Hyland Garryvacum, Ballybrittas.
Suddenly. Predeceased by his father Joseph and sisters Noreen and Bernie. Dearly loved partner of Mary. Loving dad to Danny, Siobhán, Aidan and Patrick. Cherished grandad of Noah and son of Ita. Deeply loved by all his family including Mary's daughters Emma, Claire and Laura, sons-in-law JJ, Graham and Glenn and their children. His children mums Trish and Marleese, his brothers Jim, Joe and Dec and their wives, his sisters Phil and Martha, his nieces, nephews, a large circle of friends and all whose lives Darby touched.
A celebration of Darby's life will take place in Newlands Cross Crematorium on Tuesday morning September 5th at 10am followed by cremation.
