A car was seized from a driver who failed to stop for people a pedestrian crossing in Laois.
Garda say they discovered further offences when they pulled the car over after noticing it hadn’t yielded for pedestrians.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol today in Portlaoise observed a vehicle failing to stop for pedestrians at a pedestrian crossing,” Gardai said in a post on social media.
“They were stopped and the driver was discovered to be a Learner Permit holder who was driving unaccompanied and without L-Plates displayed. The vehicle was seized and a fixed charge notice issued to the driver,” Gardai stated.
