Laois Offaly judge tells man he's 'a bit old to be playing hide and seek'

Case heard in Offaly

A MAN who was spotted by Gardai to be intoxicated between two parked vehicles on JKL Street, in Edenderry, crossed the road and hid between two different vehicles, last week's sitting of Tullamore District court heard.

On December 3, 2022, Tadhg Kane (27) of 10, Rectory Meadows, Edenderry, then stumbled out onto the road where there was a lot of traffic, Sgt Richard Thornton said in evidence.

''Aren't you a bit old to be playing hide and seek'' said Judge Cody.

Mr Kane is currently not working but is doing a course, the court heard.

Judge Cody imposed a fine of €100 and gave the defendant three months to pay.
