Christina (Chrissie) Goulding, Rosenallis

The death has taken place of Christina Goulding (Chrissie), Drummond, Rosenallis/ Rathmines / Milltown, Dublin on October 10th, 2023. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her loving parents Thomas and Mary Goulding, her brother Dan (Rosenallis), her sister Bridie (Shaw, Raheny) and brother-in-law Ray (Marks, Philadelphia); beloved sister of Winnie (Scully, Clonaslee), Tom (Tinnakill) and Essie (Marks, Philadelphia).

Sadly missed by her sisters-in-law Margaret and Nuala and brothers-in-law Brendan and Anthony. Much loved aunt of Brendan, Fionnuala, Dermot, Carmel, Lucy, Norah, Breda, Patricia, Gemma, Thomas, Patrick, Susan, Una, Ronan, John, Raymond, Tommy, Billy, Eileen and Kevin, cousins, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick, on Thursday, October 12th, from 6pm. Recital of the rosary at 8pm. Removal on Friday, October 13th, at 11.20am to St. Brigid’s Church, Rosenallis, arriving for 12 noon requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Rosenallis Cemetery.

Christina’s family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at St. Brigid’s Hospital, Shaen and Portlaoise Hospital, for their kindness and care. If you wish to offer your condolences to Christina's family, you may do so in the condolence section below.

Late James (Jim) Wynne, Crannagh, Mountrath / Castletown, Laois

Condolences to the family of the late James (Jim) Wynne, Crannagh, Mountrath who died on October 11 peacefully in the Droimnin Nursing Home Stradbally.

Predeceased by his parents James (Jim) and Elizabeth (nee Phelan), brothers George and Willie, sister Moira. Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, cousins, the Phelan Family Crannagh, extended family, relatives, neighbours and his many friends

Reposed at Guilfoyle's Funeral home, Castletown EirCode R32 TN84 this Thursday evening (October 12th.) from 6 pm with prayers and rosary in the funeral home at 8 o'c.  Jim's Funeral Mass on Friday  (Oct 13th) at 11 am in St. Edmund's Church Castletown, with burial immediately afterwards in St Fergal's Cemetery Camross.

Michael (Mick) Byrne -Ballacolla

Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Christina, sister Maura and grandsons Darragh and Tommy. Michael will be sadly missed by his wife Linda, sons Eoin, Alan, Danny and Shane, daughters-in-law Maree, Valerie, Denise and Joyce, grandchildren Polly, Sophie, Alfie, Dylan and Jack, brothers John and Declan, sisters Gay, Sheila and Monica, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Died on Monday, October 9. Rest in Peace.

Sean Martyn - Ballyvaughan, Clare / Mountrath, Laois

The Death has occurred of Sean Martyn, peacefully at his home in Ballyvaughan, formally Mountrath. October 10, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, his children Damien, Aisling & John daughters in law Emer & Maeve and his adored grandchildren Cathal, Diarmuid, Sean & Lia.

Greatly missed by his brothers Michael & Joe and his sisters Mary, Dolores & Ann, his brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, his great friend Pat and a wide circle of friends. May Sean Rest in Peace

Sean will be reposing at his home (H91 FW21) on Thursday from 4-7pm. Cortege arriving Friday morning at St. John’s the Baptist Church, Ballyvaughan for funeral mass at 11.30am with burial afterwards in Bishops Quarter cemetery. House private on Friday morning.


Mary Moore (née Fitzpatrick) - Whitefield, Stradbally/ Clonaslee 

Mary Moore (nee Fitzpatrick), Whitefield, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly of Barradoo, Clonaslee, Co. Laois and Gurteen, Camross, Co Laois. Died peacefully, on October 10, 2023, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise and previously in the loving care of Oghill Nursing Home, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare. Mary passed away just short of her 97th birthday which would have taken place on October 21.

Predeceased by her husband Fintan, her brothers Martin, Chris, Joe, Paddy and Peter, and sisters Bridie and Jane.

Mary will be sadly missed by her loving daughter Geraldine, son-in-law Sean Delaney, brother-in-law Fr. Michael Moore (Kimmage Manor), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

May Mary's Gentle Soul Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her daughter Geraldine and Sean’s residence Whitefield, Stradbally, on Thursday from 4pm with Rosary at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Friday, October 13 at 12 noon in the Sacred Heart Church Stradbally, with burial afterwards in St. Manman’s Cemetery, Clonaslee.

Mary’s family would like to thank everyone for their kindness and support at this difficult time. 

House strictly private on Friday morning, please.
