Ballylinan will take to Laois Hire O'Moore Park on Saturday afternoon in the hope of reaching the Leinster Intermediate Football final and standing in their way are Kildare champions Allenwood.
The Laois outfit who won the Intermediate Championship against Crettyard have found goals easy to come by with them firing in five goals against Wicklow' Barndarrig last time out. While their first-round encounter against Kilkenny's Mullinavat saw them register a 1-14 to 0-7 victory.
Meanwhile, Saturday's opponents needed extra-time to get past the challenge of St Malachy's from Westmeath with a late goal from the opposition forcing an extra 20 minutes. They eventually won out by three in the end to tee up the Ballylinan clash.
Gary Walsh, Ryan Brady and Jesse McEvoy were immense in their quarter-final victory with Walsh notching up 2-8 of his side's tally. He has also recently been awarded the Laois GAA Intermediate Footballer of the Year so he's one that Allenwood will have to keep close tabs on.
Former Kildare footballer Johnny Doyle is still going strong at the age of 45 for Allenwood with his four points in the quarter-final sealing the victory as three of those came in the extra 20 minutes.
This game has the makings of a right ding-dong battle with both sides well capable of making their mark on the contest but should Walsh and Brady get the time and space, there can only be one winner and that's Ballylinan.
The semi-final throws-in at 1.30pm in Laois Hire O'Moore Park on Saturday November 18. Tickets can be bought here while streaming of the match is available on Clubber.
