Trucks, tractors and vintage cars and motorcycles from Laois and other counties will descend on Ballyroan again this year for the annual Tom Kinsella Memorial Christmas Convoy Road Run.
Tom Kinsella was a vintage vehicle fanatic up to his untimely passing in 2015 from cancer. Since his death his family have organised a charity fundraiser that has been a vital help to local ogranisations.
All proceeds from the 2023 run will go to Laois Hospice and the Laois branch of the Alzheimers Society of Ireland.
This year's edition takes place as usual on St Stephen's Day, Tuesday, December 26. It starts from the Old Boys School on Main St with registration at 11 am. The run starts at 12pm sharp. MORE DETAILS BELOW PICTURE OF LAST YEAR'S EVENT.
The route will begin in Ballyroan and go around by Spink, stopping in Timahoe. It will finish in Whelans Bar Ballyroan and some refreshments will be provided. A raffle will also take place - 1st Prize - €1500, 2nd Prize - €500, 3rd Prize - €250.
There'll be lots more great prizes on the night. Tickets €5 and all idonate ticket buyers will be entered into the raffle which has a permit.
