Laois Irish dancer wins first prize in World dancing championships

Bobby fought off stiff competition in his Under 11 category to take home the trophy.

Irish dancer Bobby Kinsella, a student of Lynam School of Irish dancing, took home first prize in the An Chomhdhail World Irish Dancing Championships held in Killarney. 


Over 2,500 competitors from America, Scotland, England, Europe and all over Ireland competed in the World Championships.

Bobby fought off stiff competition in his Under 11 category to take home the trophy.
