A past pupil of Scoil Chríost Rí, Portlaoise has been awarded an All Ireland Scholarship.
Niamh Conroy was in the leaving cert class of 2023 and is one of 125 students nationwide who received a scholarship funded by horse-racing mogul JP McManus at a ceremony in University Limerick.
Niamh now is studying Pharmacy in University College Cork.
Scoil Chríost Rí congratulated their former student on her success.
"Niamh is studying Pharmacy in UCC and already has a scholarship for academic excellence under her belt having been a recipient of a UCC Quercus Scholarship last December! Well done Niamh," said a school spokesperson.

The All-Ireland scholarships cover the full duration of the students’ undergraduate studies, including all aspects of their academic financial support.
Speaking at what was the 16th year of the awards, Mr McManus said that “it’s brilliant to see the Leaving Certificate class of 2023 rewarded for their hard work and dedication to their studies”.
