Laois Gardaí say learner driver was travelling more than double speed limit in Portlaoise

Laois Gardaí's Roads Policing Unit has said they detected a teenage learner driving travelling more than double the speed limit in Portlaoise Town on Monday night. 


Taking to their social media local gardaí said: "Laois Roads Policing detected this vehicle travelling at 104kph in a 50kph zone in Portlaoise Town last night. The driver was a teenage learner permit holder who was driving while unaccompanied and without L-Plates displayed. There was no tax or NCT on the vehicle which was seized."
