The Erkina Bridge Club's initial President's Prize took place on Friday, April 19 when they also presented a cheque for €1,040 to the Irish Heart Foundation which they raised on a charity Bridge Night. The club was founded a little over a year and a half ago by John Bowe in response to some local interest and now it boasts over 40 regular players and is going from strength to strength.
Credit is due to John and his wife Pauline's immense dedication and patience in teaching new and experienced players.
All 50 members took part in the recent President's Prize. The presentation night was held in The Brewery on April 19.
