Laois cycle to pay tribute to Ukrainian man who passed away in Durrow

A Ukrainian man living in Laois who passed away in Durrow earlier this year will be remembered at a tribute cycle next weekend. 

Olksander Yasnitski was formerly from the Odessa Region, Ukraine and passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 22. 

Now the communities in Durrow and Rathdowney have come together to organise the event to remember their friend.

 Kiln Lane Residents Association in conjunction with the Ukrainian Community will hold the Olksander Yasnitski tribute cycle at Castle Arms Hotel, Durrow at 2.30pm on Saturday, May 18.

The cycle is suitable for all abilities and is being held as part of Bike Week 2024.
