Smashing weekend in store at GAA club music festival on Laois Offaly border

All systems go for fantastic music festival at Offaly GAA club this weekend

Final preparations are being put in place for a fantastic music festival in Offaly this weekend.

The Blackthorn Festival is happening in the grounds of Gracefield GAA on Saturday, May 11 and gates will open at 3:30pm. 

Smash Hits are the headline act along with ABBA-X, The Cardinal Sins, The Dooley Brothers and Abacus. It will be a fully covered event with a large festival tent. 

Tickets are €35 and can be purchased via the Gracefield GAA App, available on all Apple and Android devices or alternatively can be purchased from The Hawthorn Bar or by contacting Colin Hanlon on 0851177009. 

Stage times are as follows: 

  • Abacus 4pm
  • The Cardinal Sins 4pm
  • The Dooley Brothers 6pm
  • ABBA-X 7:15pm
  • Smash Hits 8:30pm.

Sign in to the App using the email address you used to purchase your tickets, your ticket QR Code will appear there.
Alcohol is not permitted to be brought in to the venue. A full bar will be in operation on the day.

All patrons entering the grounds will be subject to bag searches by Security. Cash & Card payment options are available.

Tickets will be available to purchase at the gate.
