Unique venue in Stradbally to stage weekend of entertainment
The Laois Electric Picnic town of Stradbally is set to host big and electic night of music when Music at the Malt House 2024 takes place in May.
Hosted by Music Generation Laois, three unforgettable nights of music featuring talented young musicians from Laois and Kildare and guest musicians is promised by the organisers.
Opening night on Friday, May 10 features: Michael McGoldrick , Ernestine Healy, Laois School of Music Youth Orchestra, Music Generation Laois Intermediate Trad Group, Music Generation Laois Senior Harp Ensemble, Kildare Youth Folk Orchestra, Music Generation Laois Trad Orchestra.
For those with no interest in Eurovision, Saturday, May 11 features Flook with special guest Patsy Reid.
Sunday, May 12 is headlined by the Cork trubador and songwriter John Spillane. Also on the bill is Martin Tourish, Lorna McLaughlin, MGL Laois rock and pop bands, MGL Junior Trad Group, MGL Trad Orchestra and the MGL Harp Ensemble.

Music at the Malthouse 2024 is part of ‘We Are Music Generation’ Co-funded by U2, The Ireland Funds, the ArtsCouncil/An Comhairle Ealaíon and the Department of Education and by Laois County Council’s Tourism Grant Scheme 2024.
