A learner driver was taught a lesson they’re unlikely to forget after being detected driving at 170Kph in Laois.
Gardaí posted an image of the VW Golf they say was caught doing 170kph on the motorway.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit conducting a speed check on the M7 this afternoon stopped this vehicle after it was detected travelling at 170kph.
The driver was a Learner Permit holder who was driving unaccompanied and without L-Plates displayed. The vehicle was seized and the driver arrested and charged to appear before Portlaoise District Court.”
