O-, B- and A- blood types are urgently needed this week.
The Irish Blood Transfusion Service (IBTS) is holding donation clinics in Laois this week as they urgently need certain blood types.
A clinic will be held in Portlaoise on Wednesday and Thursday, May 15 & 16 at the Killeshin Hotel on the Dublin Road between 3.30pm and 8.10pm.
The Blood Transfusion Service said O-, B- and A- blood types are urgently needed this week.
"Please make an appointment and donate as soon as you can. We need 15,000 new donors this year to meet hospital demand," said an IBTS spokesperson.
