Speaking to Leinster Express/Laois Live Sheila said: "It was a rollercoaster of emotions. Over so fast and a once off!".
For the last year Sheila has worked as the bus escort for Kolbe Special School, a job she thoroughly enjoys and describes the children as her 'second family'.
Sheila said the money will go towards the equipment and infrastructure needed for the sensory or occupation therapy rooms for the school once construction is complete on the long awaited new building.
The skydive was originally due to take place at Easter to coincide with Sheila's 60th birthday but had to be postponed due to weather conditions. The jump finally went ahead on Sunday, May 19.
Well done Sheila!
