The Society is set to hold a gala ball this autumn in Portlaoise.

"Mark it now as you won’t want to miss the biggest, most exciting and spectacular night of the year. We are delighted to announce that we will celebrate in style at our 25th Anniversary Gala Ball at Midlands Park Hotel, on Friday 25th October.

The Society plans to reveal 'all the exciting and beautiful details' shortly but for now, it just wants Laois people to mark the date in their diaries.

"You won’t want to miss it," they say.

Meanwhile, preparations are also advancing for this year's production which the Society says will be its "most spectacular show ever". MORE BELOW PICTURE.
