Music Generation Laois members are bound for Wexford to perform in this year's Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann.
The Portlaoise based music school has two groups performing at this year's festival which is being hosted in Wexford Town from August 4 to 11.
Taking to social media to announce their excitement Music Generation Laois said: "We are performing in the Wexford Credit Union Ltd Dome at Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann! We have two groups performing in the evening concert : our harpers as part of the Music Generation Ireland Harp Collective along with our friends in Music Generation Mayo, Music Generation Louth and Music Generation Waterford who will premiere a new suite of music composed in collaboration with Gráinne Meyer.
"The MGL Trad Orchestra is doing a special collaboration with The Senior Ensemble from Music Generation Waterford and Reeling from Music Generation Carlow and will perform The Tionól Suite, composed and directed on the night by the incredible Ernestine Healy! A massive thank you to Music Generation Wexford for making it all happen!"
Wexford is preparing to host the world's largest celebration of Irish traditional music and heritage, welcoming over half a million people to the sunny south east.
With this year's theme of 'A Fleadh for All', the festival promises an inclusive and diverse events programme with something for everyone.
