Laois to host 20th Electric Picnic music and arts festival from August 15 to 19
Laois Gardaí have updated the site map for Electric Picnic 2024.
Their interactive route and site map will guide 75,000 festival goers to the Cosby estate in Stradbally for the 20th year of the festival, running earlier than usual from Thursday August 15 to Monday, August 19 this year.
Changes this year include turning the Green carpark into the Campervan and caravan park. The Charlie Chaplin and Oscar Wilde campsites are gone. The Pink Moon Village has become Moonlight Meadows while Cosmic Avenue is a new luxury boutique site.

The interactive map has a handy grid reference to make it easier to find your way around, or find friends who have gone astray, by zooming in and checking your location.
It also includes locations of bus and taxi facilities, Garda facilities, and all the stages, entertainment tents and campsites.

The public campsites open at 9am on Friday, August 16 and closes at 1pm on Monday. Holders of Early Entry tickets along with their weekend tickets, can enter from 4pm on Thursday.
Laois groups will again man 14 AIR Hubs this year in the campsites and arena, introduced successfully in 2023. AIR is an acronym for ASSISTANCE, INFORMATION & RESPONSE and the groups involved with the Electric Picnic AIR Hubs are Vision Ireland, ISPCA, SOSAD Ireland, Portarlington Women’s Shed, Teac Tom, Portlaoise AFC and Laois Cricket Club. Air Hubs will be open 24 hours in all campsites, from Thursday through to Monday until the campsites close.

There is early entry given to campervans.
The Family Campervan opens at 4pm on Thursday 15th August. Entry to site will only be permitted to people with valid Family Weekend Tickets accompanied by a valid Family Campervan/Caravan pass. You must be accompanied by a child aged 12 or under to access this area.
Please note that original proof of purchase along with supporting ID may be required along with your Family Campervan/Caravan pass. There will be no access to the main arena or food traders until Thursday evening. Basic toilet facilities and water points will still be available.
The General Campervan & Caravan campsite is open from 12 noon on Wednesday 14th August. Read the Campervan & Caravan Terms & Conditions and Campervan & Caravan Do’s and Don’ts for information on what you can and can’t bring to the Event.
Storage lockers are available in the campsites to safely store items and alcohol, at a cost of €33.20 but must be booked ahead.
