Gardaí in Portlaoise have issued an appeal for information following a “ very upsetting” incident of indecent exposure at a cemetery in the town. 

A man allegedly exposed himself to a woman at St Peter and Paul’s Cemetery on the Stradbally Road in Portlaoise at 2.25pm on Wednesday, August 21. 

Gardaí said it was “very upsetting for the woman who witnessed it” and they have appealed to the public for information. 

“She was very distressed over the incident. Gardaí are liaising directly with her,” Gardaí said. 

Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry in relation to the incident but are seeking the public’s help with their investigation. 

They are asking for any witnesses or anyone with information in relation to the incident of indecent exposure to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
