The Malt House in Stradbally is on a site where corn milling was first recorded in 1594. The oldest corn mill buildings on the site date from 1732 with the malting kilns and manager’s house added around 1890. The latter have since been renovated as residential accommodation. The Malt House is a member of Historic Houses of Ireland.
