A Laois model airplane club will 'reach new heights' for Portlaoise's Cuisle Centre.
Laois Model Aero Club, a Portlaoise based group of model airplane hobbyists, will hold an 'open fly-in' fundraiser for the Cuisle Centre.
The event will take place from 9:30am to 5:30pm at their club grounds in Clonadacasey, between Portlaoise and Mountrath.
"Everyone is welcomed to join us on the day," said Michael McEvoy, president of the Model Aeronautics Council of Ireland (MACI) and member of Laois Model Aero Club.

"We will be holding a raffle and a voluntary box sale. There will be tea, coffee and other refreshments available.
It's something we're trying for the first time, and we hope to raise some money for the Cuisle Centre, it's a great cause," Mr McEvoy said.
"We're one of thirty clubs in the country, and we welcome other club members, along with people who wish to join our club too," he said.
Join Laois Model Aero Club on Sunday September 8 from 9:30am to 5:30pm.
