Laois Gardaí are examining a possible connection between criminal incidents on the Carlow border and in Laois.
Gardaí said tools were taken from a building in a farmyard at Shrule, Carlow at 10.30pm on Monday, September 9. A number of tools were taken in the incident and gardaí estimated the value at around €1,600.
A number of hours later an alarm was set off at a farmyard at Ballykilcavan on the morning of Tuesday, September 10 at 3am.
While it’s not believed anything was taken, two males were observed in the farmyard and two cars were entered. The men made off in a VW Golf in the direction of Stradbally.
Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the incidents. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed anything suspicious or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from either location.
Anyone with information can contact Gardaí at Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
