Family support charity Ronald McDonald House shared a heartwarming update online after a young Laois couple were finally able to return home following the birth of their son.
Killenard natives Julie Ann and Damien had spent 43 nights with the charity, who provide accommodation and a supportive environment for families whose children are undergoing medical treatment at CHI at Crumlin.
The parents' newborn son Billy thankfully recovered this week, and the happy family were able to return home.
Sharing the news online Ronald McDonald house explained: "After 43 nights with us, Julie Ann, Damien, and their sweet baby Billy are finally heading home to Killenard, Co. Laois!"
"It’s Billy’s first time meeting his two big sisters and big brother – we can only imagine how excited they all are!"
"No matter the ups and downs, there's truly no place like home – and we’re so honoured to be part of that journey. Wishing this amazing family all the joy and comfort as they settle in."
