Man accused of having pepper spray in Laois

The case was called before Portlaoise District Court

Man remanded on €35,000 Laois drugs charge

Portlaoise District Court

A  man appeared in court accused of possession of pepper spray.

Shane Cullen (33) of 93 Castle Gate, Station Road, Portarlington is accused of having a can of OC Spray at his address on February 1, 2024.

Garda Sergeant JJ Kirby said the DPP had directed that the case be heard in the district court. 

Solicitor Philip Meagher requested disclosure in the case. 

Judge Nicola Andrews ordered disclosure and adjourned the case back to Portlaoise District Court on December 9, 2024.
