Laois Gardai seized a car which they say was being driven without insurance and had heavily tinted windows.
The Volkswagen Golf car was stopped by gardaí in Portlaoise.
“Laois Roads Policing Unit stopped this vehicle with no insurance yesterday in Portlaoise. The driver was an unaccompanied learner driver. The driver and passenger windows were tinted. When tested the windows were both only measuring 5% transparency. The minimum legal limit is 65%,” gardaí stated.
Gardaí seized the vehicle and commenced proceedings against the driver.
