Laois school principal delighted with 'outstanding' Junior Cert results
On Wednesday October 9, students across the country wracked with nerves opened the envelopes containing their Junior Cert results.
Students at Scoil Chríost Rí spent the day celebrating their fantastic results, with principal Mr Seán Smyth praising them for their hard work.
"We were delighted with the outstanding Junior Cycle results at Scoil Chríost Rí, where jubilant scenes unfolded as students opened their results on Wednesday," said Mr Smyth.

"This year, our students achieved remarkable academic success, with some of our distinction rates reaching 2.5 times the national average. One of our students achieved the incredible feat of receiving seven distinctions, an exceptional accomplishment," the principal said.
"However, we take pride in celebrating the achievements of all our students, recognising the hard work and dedication each girl has shown. Later in the year, we will host a special celebration when the Junior Cycle Profile of Achievement (JCPA) is awarded, providing a broader recognition of our students' success.
"The JCPA not only highlights their exam results but also celebrates their achievements in Classroom-Based Assessments, their Other Areas of Learning, and their contributions to Wellbeing," Mr Smyth said.
"At Scoil Chríost Rí, we are immensely proud of our students' academic performance, but we also celebrate the many other strengths they possess. Our Junior Cycle class of 2024 are well-rounded, compassionate, and resilient individuals who continue to impress both inside and outside the classroom.
"We look forward to continuing to support them as they grow into confident young women, ready to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead," Principal Smyth finished.
