The sun was shining down on Vicarstown on Saturday morning, October 19 as the community celebrated the 10th anniversary of its local parkrun. Over 150 runners and volunteers took part in the milestone event along with some visitors from all over Ireland and the UK. CONTINUE READING BELOW PHOTO
"A huge thanks to all involved with everyone enjoying a chat with a cuppa," said the organiser. "Parkrun is for everyone so sign up now and let's get Laois active. We are proud to have supported the the set up 10 years ago as part of an initiative under the SVT Activity & Wellness HUB and to see it grow from strength to strength into the amazing parkrun community it is today This can only be achieved by the amazing volunteers who give their time and dedication weekly so a huge shout out to them. Here's to the next 10 years."
