A beautiful new mural has been installed on the gable end of Stradbally Arthouse and Library. The painting of  the Salmon of Knowledge, funded by Creative Ireland Laois, was chosen because it represents the potential of learning and knowledge held within the library.

The mural also represents the freedom of creation and expression housed within the Arthouse which has completely changed the function of the old Courthouse  and what it formally represented.

The mural is designed by SATR, an artist from Guangzhou, China who lives and works in the UK. SATR’s original technique of using spray paint atomization to create unique contours and shapes, makes the salmon in her painting appear to be extremely dynamic. The mural was installed to SATR's design by artist Cormac Dillon with @streetartlink.The mural is visible from the Timahoe Road as well as the Laois Arthouse Garden.
