Emo Court will be open on December 14 and 15 with a range of festive musical performances.
A special Christmas event is being held at Emo Court when visitors will get the chance to tour the recently refurbished ground floor rooms of the beautiful house.
The Office of Public Works (OPW) has just announced that Emo Court will be open on December 14 and 15 with a range of festive musical performances including the popular Timahoe Male Choir.
"Visitors will have the opportunity of a free tour of some of the Ground Floor rooms. These rooms have been refurbished and presented in the style of the late 1700s and early 1800s when the Portarlington Family resided there. This comes ahead of the planned re-opening of Emo Court to visitors from Spring 2025," said the OPW.
"Following on from the very popular event last year, this year’s event promises to be even better. The Ground Floor interior will be beautifully decorated for Christmas and visitors will be able to enjoy festive music as they walk through the House. The Grounds, and formal gardens, which visitors are free to explore, will be also transformed into a magical winter wonderland.
"Join us for festive fun, food, beverages and musical entertainment for all the family to enjoy. For more information please see below and on heritageireland.ie."
