Car stolen from outside a house in Laois

Gardaí issued an appeal in relation to the 191 registered white Skoda Kodiaq

Gardaí are appealing for information in relation to the break in and car theft in Laois at the weekend. 

The white 191 registered Skodia Kodiaq was stolen from Killenard Lodge in Killenard on Saturday night at around 9.30pm. 

Portlaoise Gardaí said a house was entered and car keys were stolen. The incident, which is believed to have happened at around 9.30pm on Saturday night, was reported to gardaí on Sunday morning. 

Meanwhile, a second incident occurred at Killenard Lodge on Sunday morning. On this occasion, Gardaí said an unlocked car was “rummaged through” at around 2.30am in the morning. It is not believed anything was taken from the car. 

Elsewhere, Offaly Gardaí confirmed they are investigating an incident in Curragh Hill, Ballinagar, Co Offaly.  A house was entered and keys to a white 171 registered BMW car were stolen in the early hours of Monday morning. It’s understood a white jeep was seen in the area and may have been used in connection with the incident.  The white BMW was stolen but has since been recovered in Dublin in an undamaged state. 

Gardaí at Portlaoise Garda Station are appealing for information in relation to the incident in Killenard. They are eager to speak to witnesses or anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage.
