Tourism businesses in Laois are being invited to a new workshop being rolled out by Fáilte Ireland.
The tourism body has developed a new Ireland’s Ancient East Champions Programme that aims to inform the Laois community on how best to sell the county on all that it has to offer.
Frontline professionals, from taxi companies, pubs, restaurants, accommodation businesses, social enterprises, festivals, community volunteers, and anyone who engages with visitors, are invited to register for the event which will take place in Portlaoise on Wednesday, March 12.

"You will leave this workshop knowing what there is in Laois and how to sell the county. This is for anyone who comes in contact with visitors to the county or the local community," said Failte Ireland.
"The programme will combine our Local Experts and Service Excellence programmes, with specialised training in accessible tourism. Don't miss this opportunity to elevate your team’s skills to provide an exceptional visitor experiences in Laois."
Register by emailing: champions@failteireland.ie with your name and place of work. Spaces are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration takes place from 9.30am with the event taking place from 10am to 1pm at the The Maldron Hotel, Abbeyleix Rd, Meelick, Portlaoise, Co. Laois, R32 HKN3
