Tributes paid for Laois mother of eight who died suddenly in her home

Tributes have poured in for Laois woman Ann Gorman who has recently died unexpectedly at home.

A resident of Cherry Grove in Portlaoise, the deceased is greatly missed by children Michael, Martina, Fint, Trisha, Joe, Denise, Bernard and Leanne.

She was a loving sister to Tom, Camillus, Leo, Andrew, Alex and Maura and deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Heartfelt messages have been left on RIP.ie, from those who knew and fondly remembered Ann, with one mourner writing,

"Sincere sympathy to Gorman and Bergin and family. Ann was on the CE scheme with the Mariosa Foundation, I was her supervisor she was a great worker and very kind to all clients. Always friendly and pleasant to all she met and worked with. May her gentle soul rest in peace."

Another message said, "My Sincere Sympathy to the Gorman & Bergin Families on this very sad occasion.. Ann a breath of fresh air to meet and to chat.. May Heaven be your bed."

"Sincere sympathy and condolences to the Gorman family on the sad and sudden passing of Ann. Ann was a lovely, unassuming quiet lady. It was always a pleasure to visit the Gorman household. You were always greeted very warmly and always made feel at home. Ann you have left a rich legacy which will be carried on by those who mourn your passing. RIP," another message said.

"Sincere condolence to the Gorman and Bergin family on the loss of Ann. I have good memories of meeting her in her work place and I was always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile on her face.
May her kind soul rest in eternal peace," another person wrote.
