Laois tool theft in Portlaoise to cost owners tens of thousands of euro

Laois Gardaí are appealing for witnesses in relation to the theft of tens of thousands of euros worth of tools from vans at a busy Portlaoise hotel. 

Laois Gardaí said tools were stolen from at least two vans which were targeted by thieves while in the carpark of the Killeshin Hotel on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise on Thursday.

While gardaí couldn’t provide an exact value on the tools that were taken from the property, the Leinster Express / Laois Live understands that the tools could be worth up to €60,000.

Gardaí are asking anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious or have dashcam footage from the area to contact Portlaoise Garda Station on 057 867 4100.
