Mrs Brin Fitzpatrick of the Clough Road, Ballacolla, celebrated her 105th birthday surrounded by friends and family.

Brin has two children, her son Eddie and her daughter Mary, and lives with Mary and her son-in-law Joe Holohan.
She has six grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
She has received five President's medals.
“I really enjoyed my birthday, we had a great time,” she said.
“We had callers coming all week, the doorbell never stopped ringing,” her daughter Mary said.
“We had a few neighbours in and a cake, it was lovely.”
Born and raised in Ballacolla, Mrs Fitzpatrick as been involved in local drama classes and plays over the years.
She loves bingo, and would go every night of the week if she could.
“She has had a quiet enough life, she only had the two of us, and she worked hard,” her daughter Mary said.
Mrs Fitzpatrick went into domestic services at 14, and worked in Cunningham’s in Ballacolla until she got married.
She celebrated her 100th birthday during a Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.
Brin has said that the secret to a long and happy life is having a brilliant family.
